Anderson Silva is expected to make yet another return to the UFC ring and this time around, it will be Michael Bisping in the other corner.

Silva will be back after a year-long suspension on Feb. 27 in a UFC Fight Night Card set for London though UFC senior vice president Giovani Decker bares that Silva vs. Bisping wasn’t the original card they had in mind.

Conor McGregor Responds To Controversial Racial Issues

Vitor Belfort was the original opponent eyed against Silva but apparently a deal failed to materialize. When word of such came out, Belfort was criticized for it though Decker shed some light on what really transpired.

"Many people said Vitor didn’t want this fight, and that wasn’t the truth," he continued. "He wants it, he made it clear it will happen at some time, but for him, thinking about his career and what he has ahead of him at this moment, this fight wouldn’t make sense,” says Decker via Combate.

Holly Holm Needs New Approach For Successful Title Defense

Weighing things out, the booked fight between Silva and Bisping could be better off rather than pitting Belfort.

The Brazilian may be better off waiting for a possible title-shot against Luke Rockhold. But the reality of it all is that he may have to do some waiting with a rumored rematch involving Chris Weidman brewing via MMAFighting.com.

Belfort is one of three names being considered for Luke Rockhold. The other name in the mix is Yoel Romero.
