The Mavericks are in the midst of a surprising season in which they’re in the thick of the playoff hunt, so news coming out of a recent Howard Stern show has to be disappointing for billionaire Mark Cuban. Reality TV star Khloe Kardashian opened up to Stern about extremely racist behavior toward her and her husband Lamar Odom during his tumultuous time in Dallas,

Kardashian told Stern people in Dallas would call her a “n**ger lover,” call Odom “Boy,” and even key words into her car. That could have contributed to Odom’s poor play and lack of effort during a 50-game stint with the team in which he averaged just 6.6 points and 4.2 rebounds – both well below his career averages – and got dismissed before the season ended.

Odom Covertly Moved To Private Rehab Facility

Cuban has responded to Kardashian’s comments, and did not say he thinks she’s lying.

"Anytime I talked to her I asked how things were going, and did she need anything. Never a word. Not from Lamar or anyone,” Cuban said. He also insisted that the Mavericks didn’t turn a blind eye to Odom’s problems, and tried numerous times to help him in various ways.

"We had a psychologist working with Lamar and put together support programs for him. It never came up. I like Khloe. I’m not questioning her, but she never said anything to us."

After leaving Dallas, Odom spent one more ineffective season in the NBA with the Clippers before his life went into a tailspin culminating with his overdose and near-death in October 2015. Odom is now making progress, and has finally been released from the hospital. Kardashian, who had filed for divorce, put those proceedings on hold to help him through his recovery.

Kardashian also revealed that Odom was sleeping with other women for most of their marriage. "I found out that he was cheating on me majority of our marriage," Kardashian told Stern. "He was so good. Nothing was on his cell phones, he had an assistant and they were all on his assistant's phone, so he was really crafty."
