Michigan weather in early March is about as enjoyable as a root canal, so don’t blame Jim Harbaugh for trying to escape it.

The Wolverines are looking to potentially spend a week of their spring practice schedule in Florida, per ESPN. The plan is to use Michigan’s spring break to move practices to the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.

Much like last season -- where the team followed a closed-door approach to training camp in August -- Harbaugh hopes to keep his players in an isolated atmosphere.

It’s supposed to have its benefits.

"When you're around each other and there's not anyone in the facility, you can concentrate on what you need to learn and how you need to do it," offensive coordinator Tim Drevno said. "You can build a relationship with your coaches and really get to know your teammates, get that trust.”

So while most college students are running rampant under the sun, Michigan football players will be immersed with their playbook. There’ll be no opportunity to mingle with scantily-clad co-eds, which isn’t the worst news for Jabrill Peppers.

The last thing the redshirt freshman needs is someone else accusing him of giving her chlamydia.

As for Harbaugh, it’s best he prepares for the warmer weather. There’s no place to hide a bad diet under humid conditions.
