Ben Roethlisberger and the Bengals won't see eye to eye anytime soon, especially in regard to Joey Porter.

Roethlisberger made his usual appearance on 93.7 The Fan in Pittsburgh on Tuesday. Naturally, the topic of conversation centered on the Steelers' controversial 18-16 victory over the Bengals on Saturday.

Jerome Bettis' Best Moment With The Steelers

Porter -- who joined Pittsburgh's coaching staff in 2014 -- took the field after Antonio Brown was knocked unconscious in the fourth quarter. In typical fashion, he got under the skin of Vontaze Burfict and Adam "Pacman" Jones. It was more than enough to draw a 15-yard penalty in favor of his team, converting a game-winning FG from a 50-yard kick to a 35-yard attempt.

While many still questions Porter's presence on the field, it made perfect sense to Roethlisberger.

"Honestly, Joey comes out there to help AB off the field," Roethlisberger said on the radio, per Behind The Steel Curtain. "People are making a big deal about him being out there, and why was he out there. Well, I think it makes a lot of sense why he's out there. Offensive coaches aren't going to go out there because we're trying to draw up plays for the next play, and how can we move the ball down the field.

"Joey's still a passionate guy, he's a young coach. He's going to be able to help, if he needs to carry him off, help get him off the field. I think it makes a lot of sense that Joey's out there to help a player off the field."

It's safe to say "Pacman" Jones still isn't buying it.

Porter being on the field didn't make much sense to NFL V.P. of officiating Dean Blandino, either.

"Assistant coaches shouldn't be on the field during an injury timeout," Blandino said, per Pro Football Talk. "Medical staff, head coach can check on the welfare of a player. But we don't want assistant coaches out there.

"It happens, especially when there's the potential for a serious injury."
