Alabama head coach Nick Saban is going to be one of the hottest names on the NFL coaching market after his Crimson Tide toppled the No. 1 Clemson Tigers in the National Championship Game.

Here are the three most likely teams to chase Saban, who has nothing left to prove at the NCAA level.

Titans Need Saban, Don't Seem Interested

New York Giants

The Giants parted ways with Tom Coughlin after more than a decade of work that included two Super Bowls, including a monumental upset over the 18-0 Patriots in 2007. Coughlin is a tough act to follow, so the next coach needs major gravitas.

Saban has nothing approaching Coughlin’s success at the NFL level, but his constant presence atop the rankings in college, as well as his five national titles, should afford him a great deal of respect.

Age May Hurt Saban's Case To Join Giants

At 63 years old, Saban isn’t much younger than Coughlin, so if age was a factor in his dismissal then Saban may not be a fit. But there won’t be many candidates for the Big Blue job with as accomplished a resume.

Cleveland Browns

This isn’t a Johnny Manziel hot take, because if Saban got the gig, his first move would probably be to eject him into space. Cleveland is in need of an entire culture change, which is what elite college coaches do best.

The most successful college coaches enter situations where expectations aren’t met, and raise them. They overhaul everything, forcefully implement their way, and take no prisoners when it comes to those who do not buy in. That can rub NFL athletes the wrong way, but in Cleveland who will have any choice but to listen? The old way has been disastrous.

Saban won’t be devoid of talent here either. Josh McCown is a serviceable QB, WR Josh Gordon will be back, and RBs Isaiah Crowell and Duke Johnson are explosive.

Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles are another team in need of a culture change. Chip Kelly’s ideas were not a problem in Philadelphia, it was his inability to connect with players. Saban isn’t of an age where he’ll relate to his players, but Saban’s track record commands respect.

Saban could be expected to put an end to the dissension that became obvious near the end of Kelly’s tenure, and players like LT Jason Peters would not be removing themselves from games out of self-preservation.
