A major card has been announced for UFC Fight Night 84 in March, pitting Frank Mir against Mark Hunt.

Mir is a former heavyweight champion who has been around since 2001. He has been up and down as far as his fights are concerned. He won over Antonio Silva and Todd Duffee, but lost his last match against Andrei Arlovski.

So if there is one fighter aching to get back on track, it has to be Mir.

On the other end, Hunt has been somehow erratic. After enjoying a four-fight winning streak, Hunt fell to reigning champion Fabricio Werdum and then to Stipe Miocic. But is entering UFC Fight Night 84 on a high note, since he will be entering the fight off a win over Silva.

The fight is important for both fighters, particularly for Mir, whose career has been rocky. Hunt on the other hand is out to prove to the UFC that he belongs in the circle despite almost being left out when the company acquired Pride in 2012.
