Oregon looks to extend the nation's road winning-streak to 18 games while also trying to top Washington for the 10th straight time, while the Huskies look to bounce back from a tough loss.
The Ducks, which haven't lost a road game since 2009, enjoyed a 57-16 game visiting Colorado last week behind the play of Heisman Trophy candidate Marcus Mariota. Mariota is 76-for-134 (56.7%) thus far this season for 1,358 yards with 14 touchdowns and no interceptions after accounting for a total of a career-best seven touchdowns last week. Mariota, a sophomore, is 17-1 as a starter and has thrown at least one touchdown pass in all 18 games while leading the team to put up at least 55 points in five straight games to notch a school record.
"I think as a unit, we've all gotten better with Marcus," said Bralon Addison, "Marcus does some amazing things with his legs and has the arm to complement those legs. It's almost like he's playing a video game out there."
Addison caught five passes for a career-best 158 yards and two touchdowns last week and has 19 receptions for 345 yards with four touchdowns this season.
Washington, meanwhile, looks to bounce back from a tough 31-28 loss at Stanford last week.
"It's such a drastic change in philosophy when you go from a Stanford to an Oregon, we don't have too long to dwell on Stanford and that ball game," said Washington coach Steve Sarkisian. "We have to learn from it, but we have to get ready for a completely different style in Oregon this week."
Bishop Sankey has been the key to Washington's rushing attack, having rushed for 732 yards on 131 carries while reaching the end zone seven times. He ranks fourth in the nation with 146.4 yards per game.
Quarterback Keith Price threw for a season-high 350 yards last week, but he's struggled against Oregon in the past, having thrown just three touchdowns to four interceptions in three career meetings. This season, Price is 114-for-160 (71.3%) for 1,394 yards with 11 touchdowns and three interceptions.
Oregon looks to continue its road dominance while Washington hopes to put a rough loss last week behind it when these two teams square off today.
