Vince McMahon and the WWE have always been keen on pushing their bigger athletes.

John Cena, though very good, has been the face of the franchise for the last decade for many different reasons, but his size certainly helped him. Despite getting inconsistent fan reactions, the WWE continued to push Cena down everyone's throats through the years.

Injuries To John Cena, Nikki Bella Could Put Possible Proposal On Hold

The same has happened with Roman Reigns, another ripped Superstar who has been given favorable booking for the last two years. Despite being green (and not over) for most of his run, Reigns took his push and ran with it all the way to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

While big men thrive, the promotion has a reputation of holding down smaller Superstars. It got so bad, in fact, that CM Punk walked out on the WWE due to his frustrations in January 2014.

Possible Opponents For The Undertaker At WrestleMania 32

Furthermore, WWE Superstar Daniel Bryan (and his fans) had to endure so much crap that it took a major groundswell of support from the WWE Universe to get him the World Championship at WrestleMania XXX.

Unfortunately for "The Beard," he has been plagued by injuries ever since and remains sidelined with a concussion. Bryan was cleared by his own doctor, but WWE doctors, for whatever reason, haven't allowed him to return to action.

It's smart of the WWE not to rush him back, given the terrible history of serious head injuries throughout sports, but if he does make a return, the company better push him.

There are rumors that Indy darlings AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows are headed to the WWE, and though none of them are all that ripped, they deserve a chance to shine in the No. 1 promotion in the world. If Bryan returns, he deserves a shot at shining with them.

To be fair, the WWE gave a smaller star in Seth Rollins the gold for most of 2015, but he was booked horribly despite putting on great matches. Also, once he was injured and relinquished the belt, the title went to muscle-bound Sheamus and then Reigns.

You don't have to be physically large to be a huge star in the WWE these days. It's high time the people running the promotion realize it.
