With the WWE Royal Rumble 2016 happening in a couple of weeks, only a couple of names have been confirmed as participants.

That includes the Big Show, Curtis Axel and just recently, Roman Reigns. The Big Dog was automatically seeded after successfully defying the odds against Sheamus and WWE chairman Vince McMahon who acted as guest referee on WWE Raw recently.

John Cena's Injury Creates Options For New Undertaker Opponent

The chairman made it all the more harder for Reigns to hang on to his title, placing the WWE heavyweight title on the line and against 29 other superstars.

With that said, the last man standing when the night is over will be crowned champion.

Dolph Ziggler's Apparent Heel Turn Leads To Many Options For 'The Showoff'

John Cena would have been a favorite, but an injury may have negated all that. In fact, he is likely to be out until Wrestlemania 32.

So how about Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson? Could he possibly be one of the 29 participants against Reigns? Well, Bleacher Report comes with a pretty interesting piece on it.

The Rock winning it all could be a neat twist though it carries more questions than solutions. While the WWE can get a big boost with the publicity, the champ may not be able to appear on the WWE shows as frequent as needed.

The reason is obvious. Johnson is busy with his filming schedule and such was seen as one reason why it took some time before he was able to confirm that he will be around for Wrestlemania 32. Though he did promise something special, it remains to be seen if he will simply appear or compete.

Now if that is the case, what would the scenario be for a WWE PPV that is weeks away?

Should Rock win the title, it could be a good seed for possible Wrestlemania 32 scenarios. He would instantly be listed on the main event and most likely go up against his cousin, Roman Reigns.

There is still WWE Fastlane of course so anything can happen. But seeing The Rock win it over 30-men seems a bit uncanny. The pitch seems sensible but something that may need more supporting plots to prosper.
