Jeremy Lin has no qualms about making his religious beliefs public. He just needs to refocus his efforts elsewhere.

The Hornets guard -- who already formed a Bible study group with his teammates -- is now focusing his prayers on players who don't believe in God.

"Please pray for our team that the Holy Spirit would soften the hearts of my non-believing teammates and to sanctify the lives of the believers," Lin wrote in an email sent to his digital prayer group, per Christian Post. "Also that our Bible study would grow in vulnerability, accountability, and community."

While his heart is in the right place, Lin is better off praying the Holy Spirit softens the blows in Charlotte. The Hornets (17-17) are amid a four-game losing streak -- the latest loss coming to the Warriors (32-2) on Monday.

And don't stop there.

Lin was forced to miss two of the last four games with an ankle injury ... not that James Harden had anything to do with that.

Some improved health for the new year should also be in order.

Lin and the Hornets return to action on Wednesday in Phoenix against the Suns.
