Move over Bo Jackson, Rob Gronkowski is ready to take your two-sport crown. Well, not really.

The Patriots TE -- meeting with reporters on Thursday -- revealed he was once a prolific hockey player before turning to basketball in high school. Not even the ice could tame his aggressive nature.

"I'd be left wing," Gronkowski said, per ESPN. "Defense is cool but I need the action, so left wing, obviously. I was super aggressive, fights, goal scores, checks."

At 6'6", 240 pounds, it's safe to say not many players in the NHL would survive a round of fisticuffs with Gronkowski. Not many pucks would survive his celebration, either.

Tom Brady Wants To Turn The NFL Into Flag Football

With his hockey days behind him, here are the three best athletes to dominate two sports in history.

Bo Jackson

Jackson was the first athlete to be named an All-Star in two different sports. He hit 141 HRs during his nine-year MLB career and ran for 16 TDs for the Raiders.

Deion Sanders

Deion Sanders couldn't hit with the same power as Jackson, but he became the only athlete ever to hit a HR and score a TD in the same seven-day period, per Bio.

The guy just couldn't rap.

Jim Thorpe

What didn't Jim Thorpe accomplish?

One of the greatest athletes of all time received gold medals at the 1912 Olympics for the decathlon and pentathlon, made his MLB debut with the Giants in 1913 and joined the Canton Bulldogs of the American Professional Football Association in 1915.
