Today at 5 p.m. ET the No. 6 Stanford Cardinal (10-2) will take on the No. 5 Iowa Hawkeyes (12-1) in a traditional clash between the Pac-12 and Big Ten in the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. Live stream the historic bowl game free by clicking this link.

Iowa is a six-point underdog vs. Stanford, despite falling one game short of playing in the College Football Playoff. The Hawkeyes were 12-0 heading into the Big Ten title game, when they were knocked off in dramatic fashion by Michigan State, who were slaughtered by Alabama 38-0 Thursday night.

Iowa will come at Stanford with a balanced attack, led by their two-headed monster of Jordan Canzeri and Leshun Daniels Jr. at running back. Those two combined for 1,685 yards and 20 touchdowns.

Stanford, on the other hand, has one player that defenses focus on every week – RB Christian McCaffery. He was a Heisman finalist this year, and had a fantastic case. The sophomore piled up 2,387 yards from scrimmage and 12 total touchdowns. He has been held to fewer than 100 rushing yards just three times all season, and he rushed for 94 in one of them, vs. Notre Dame. He has been held to fewer than 100 rushing/receiving yards just once, in a season-opening loss to Northwestern.

McCaffery is also an accomplished return man, amassing 1,354 yards on special teams. In total his yardage (3,496) was an NCAA record, surpassing the legendary Barry Sanders.

"That's a guy I had posters on my wall of growing up," McCaffrey said. "Even to be mentioned in the same category is definitely an honor."
