Today at 4 p.m. ET the No. 1-ranked Clemson Tigers (13-0) will face the No. 4 Oklahoma Sooners (11-1) in the Capital One Orange Bowl, also known as the first game of the 2015 College Football Playoff. Live stream the game for free by clicking this link. Clemson fans can follow the radio broadcast on WCCP 105.5, while Sooners fans may do likewise on KOKC 1520.

These two teams faced off last year in the Russell Athletic Bowl, with the Sooners taking a 40-6 pounding at the hands of the Tigers. The good news is that it’s a new year, and Oklahoma is a better team. The bad news is that so is Clemson.

Clemson Wouldn't Have Sent Home Deshaun Watson

Both sides have improved dramatically at the quarterback position. Oklahoma is rolling with Baker Mayfield, a Texas Tech transfer who is lighting up college football to the tune of 35 touchdowns and five interceptions. Clemson’s new QB, Deshaun Watson, was a Heisman candidate this year. Watson threw for 3,517 yards and 30 touchdowns, while flirting with 1,000 rushing yards and scoring 11 TDs on the ground.

Clemson’s offense, ranked 26th in the nation, will be in the rare position of facing a higher-ranked attack, as the Sooners average 42 points per game. The Sooners’ will face perhaps their toughest test of the season with Clemson’s defense, however, which gives up just 18.8 points.

These Five Players Will Have The Biggest Impact On The College Football Playoff

Clemson will come into this game with a storm cloud over their heads after three players were sent home for failing drug tests. One of the players, WR Deon Cain, was third on the team in receptions (34).

Oklahoma doesn’t have those personnel issues, but they will be looking to shake the school’s recent reputation for not showing up in big games.
