The "Bryzzo" bromance is dead.

Kris Bryant revealed on Twitter that he proposed to his girlfriend of eight years, Jessica Delp, capping a memorable 2015 for the Cubs third baseman. In 2015, Bryant won the Rookie of the Year and got his first taste of the MLB postseason, helping Chicago's promising young team to the NLCS.

While the MLB stud's engagement is good news for him and Delp, it had some striking ramifications on Anthony Rizzo. The Cubs first baseman had an emotional reaction to the news:

Though Rizzo was obviously kidding, the engagement likely means no more late nights out on the town for two of baseball's most exciting young players. The end of the bromance was heartbreaking for many fans on Twitter:

Rizzo, 26, and Bryant, 23, have developed quite the fun relationship over the course of the rookie's first MLB season, which culminated in the Cubs' first playoff appearance since 2008. After a successful rookie campaign, Bryant is taking his career to the next level.

Delp and Bryant met in high school, where the bride-to-be played softball and basketball, according to Heavy.com. The happy couple's relationship also survived long-distance as Delp got her degree in psychology at UNLV, while Bryant went to the University of San Diego.

Though the Bryant-Rizzo bromance is no more, they have plenty to be optimistic about in 2016. The duo is part of a great young core that added Jason Heyward and Ben Zobrist to the lineup and John Lackey to a rotation that boasts NL Cy Young Award winner Jake Arrieta and Jon Lester.

2015 was a great year for Bryant, but things are shaping up to be even better in 2016.
