The Dolphins’ season has been a trainwreck, but it’s unlikely any of their weeks will be as bad as Week 17 will be. Following another disappointing loss on Sunday, this time to the Colts who lost backup Matt Hasselbeck in the game, cornerback Brent Grimes’ wife Miko lost her mind on Twitter.

Her tweets aren’t visible to the public, but multiple outlets have obtained screenshots of her rant criticizing the Dolphins’ front office, and quarterback Ryan Tannehill. In fact, Tannehill received the brunt of Miko’s rage, which was burning.

Ndamukong Suh Threatens To Fire His Teammates

Miko Grimes said that Tannehill has gotten more people fired than ex-lineman Jonathan Martin, who caused a major stir when he left the team amid accusations of bullying from multiple teammates. She accused the Dolphins’ executives of having an “agenda” to “destroy the defense,” and protect Tannehill. She also said no “legitimate coach” would join the Dolphins as long as Tannehill was under center.

How Grimes and Tannehill respond to Miko’s outburst is pivotal to the future of the team, since it involves two cornerstone players. Grimes, the team’s top cornerback, is owed $18 million over the next two seasons, while Tannehill is owed more than $100 million over the next four years. In a vacuum, Grimes has been the better player, and by far the greater value in 2015. He also plays corner, which may be the second-most valuable position in football behind quarterback.

Ryan Tannehill Mocks Practice Squad Players

Making matters worse, the team’s infrastructure for handling this mess is in disarray. Joe Philbin was fired as coach after Week 4, and his coordinators followed in drips. The current coach, Dan Campbell, will almost certainly not remain the head coach and could possibly be sent packing at season’s end.

Tannehill hasn’t met expectations this year, as Miko Grimes astutely pointed out, but plenty of team’s would gladly scoop him up if he hit the market. The Dolphins’ have to hope Grimes and Tannehill can hug this out.
