Johnny Manziel was given another chance to prove he’s not an NFL-caliber QB on Sunday. Unlike Tim Tebow, he didn’t make the most of it.
As menacing as he was on the ground -- rushing for 108 yards on 11 attempts -- Manziel was inept in the air. He finished his afternoon 13-of-32 for 136 yards and one INT.
NFL Provided Proof Tebow Will Never Play Again
It should come as no surprise the Browns lost 17-13 to the Chiefs.
It’s Manziel’s performance in the final minutes, however, an area Tebow once excelled in, that left more questions than answers.

He completed passes to wide open … offensive lineman.
Not great, Browns. https://t.co/qoX0JgKrKy

Down by four with just under three minutes remaining, Manziel failed to connect with … civilization.
The fourth-down pass from Manziel falls incomplete and the #Chiefs will take over with 2:55 remaining in the game and with a 17-13 lead.

Not sure what happened on that Manziel pass, but it was over everybody. Incomplete. Browns turn the ball over on downs.

With one final opportunity to complete the comeback, Manziel found Darius Jennings on fourth-and-10 from the Chiefs 32. He just didn’t have enough time to run a final play.
Needless to say, it was a frustrating end to a frustrating afternoon.

And yet, despite his inability to show any signs of being a franchise QB, both on and off the field, Manziel will have another evaluation next Sunday against the Steelers.
Another evaluation Tebow and his playoff-winning resume will be forced to watch from the comfort of his own home.
