It’s been a rollercoaster year for Javier Hernandez.

He’s called three different clubs home (Real Madrid, Manchester United and Bayer Leverkusen), he’s found a new love in Lucia Villalon and his scoring streak in the Bundesliga is unparalleled at the moment.

Relive his greatness, relive his flaws in the five best moments of Chicharito’s year.

Champions League Quarterfinal vs. Atletico Madrid

Chicharito wasn’t exactly getting burn at Real Madrid. Then, Karim Benzema was forced to miss action due to injury (knee). Unproven, unwanted and untested on the world’s biggest stage, Hernandez delivered the biggest goal of his career.

His finish -- largely set up by a strong individual effort from Cristiano Ronaldo -- secured a 1-0 victory for Real Madrid and a berth in the Champions League semifinals.

Lucia Villalon

Hernandez was winning in Madrid in more ways than one.

Champions League Slip

The writing was on the wall for Hernandez upon returning to Manchester United. There was no future for him under Louis van Gaal.

He cemented that truth with one slip against Club Brugge in the Champions League playoffs.

It was the bad luck he needed to see him depart Old Trafford once and for all.

Bayer Leverkusen Debut

Starting a new at Bayer Leverkusen, Hernandez opened his club account in his club debut.

Barcelona Goal

Hernandez ended his year in impeccable form, scoring 19 goals in 20 matches across all competitions … none bigger than his Champions League goal against Barcelona.
