Logic dictates that at some point, convicted murderer Oscar Pistorius no longer will be making news. Now is not that time, however.

The latest twist in what is now coming up on the three-year anniversary of Pistorius killing girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp comes from an Austrian woman who claims to have had a months-long cyberspace relationship while the double-amputee Olympic sprinter while he was on his original trial for murder, according to The Daily Mail.

Despite Murder Conviction, Oscar Pistorius Still Could Get Light Sentence

"Pistorius allegedly called himself Liam in the thousands of messages he is said to have exchanged with a blonde, named only as Nina F, 30, before she learned his true identity. Nina told Germany's Bild newspaper she fell in love with him over the Internet and that they 'flirted' for months via Instagram and WhatsApp.

"She claimed the Paralympian even told her he wanted to marry her."

The woman added that Pistorius used prepaid mobile phone cards, often changing his phone number.

Bild reached out to a spokesman for Pistorius to verify Nina's story. The spokesman said he is not allowed to speak to the media as part of the conditions for his bail.

Pistorius currently is awaiting sentencing for the murder conviction the South Africa Court of Appeals levied against him, vacating his original manslaughter verdict. Pistorius faces a minimum of 15 years in prison.

The spokesman, however, did raise one question, according to Bild.

"This alleged communication makes no sense," the spokesman said. "Oscar has no prepaid phone."

Nina told Bild that 10 days before Pistorius originally was convicted of manslaughter in October 2014, he revealed his identity to her via text, in which she replied, "Yes, cleeeeeear. An now f*** you."

But Pistorius kept contacting her, Nina said, and she relented.

When Pistorius received his original sentence, he allegedly told her to wait for him and broke off contact. And when he was transferred to house arrest in October, he allegedly sent text messages to her old number.

Nina claimed to have tried to visit Pistorius at his uncle's mansion, where he is under house arrest, but a security guard did not let her see him. She wrote him a letter, asking him to contact her, but he has not responded.

Pistorius has been linked previously to a woman in the aftermath of Steenkamp's death. He allegedly tried to pick up on a Steenkamp look-alike, 52 days after her death, the Sunday Times reported.
