Just when you think things are looking up for Jeremy Lin, James Harden ruins his life.

The two squared off in Houston on Monday. Much like the final result -- which ended 102-95 in the Rockets’ favor -- Harden got the better of the encounter. He just got the better of it in embarrassing fashion.

“Obviously, spending time here [with the Rockets from 2012-14] I know how great he is at drawing fouls,” Lin said, per NBA.com. “He played well tonight. He got a lot of calls tonight.

“He’s just somebody who’s an MVP candidate and could’ve been the MVP last year. You just have your hands full. You just have to make things as difficult as possible for a player of that caliber.”

Lin didn’t exactly do that from his backside, but he did manage salvage what was left of his dignity immediately after.

Except no one cares. Left-handed finishes don’t go viral, crossovers do.
