A's Fan Tasered [VIDEO]: Oakland Fan Shocked By Police During ALDS Game 1 After Wife Ejected For Banging On Dugout

An out of control fan was tasered by police during Game 1 of the American League Division Series between the Oakland Athletics and Detroit Tigers on Friday for attempting to fist fight with police and security at the O.co Coliseum in Oakland, California.

According to The Daily Mail, the man, whose name hasn't been revealed, was upset about his wife getting kicked out of the game because she was banging on the first base side dugout. Reports indicate that she was banging on the top of the dugout to go along with a stadium chant, and was told by security to stop but still persisted. Her ejection upset the man, and caused him to get involved with police and stadium security, leading to him being tasered.

After the verbal confrontation, police decided to attempt to handcuff him, but his hostility was only growing. The cuffing attempts only seemed to upset the man even more, and began to swing at the security guards and police.

Following that attempt, half a dozen police and security officers tried to overpower the man as the game was still going on in the background. With the man still going crazy, the officers decided to use a stun gun taser, and they utilized it on the man's back. He was then taken away and tossed from the game.

The Athletics eventually lost the game 3-2 as Detroit's three first inning runs held up and American League Cy Young candidate Max Scherzer yielded just two hits and three runs over seven solid innings to give the Tigers a 1-0 series lead. The Athletics have been able to battle back in the series, and now lead it 2-1 after a 1-0 win Saturday and a 6-3 victory on Monday.

The Athletics could advance to the American League Championship series with a win today in Detroit.

What happened to the man who was tasered is unclear, but after swinging at police it's safe to speculate he wound up in jail.
