A funny thing has happened since Nick Kyrgios' claims that he and Stan Wawrinka have mended their relationship following Kyrgios' lewd comments over the summer:

Silence.

Nick Kyrgios, Stan Wawrinka Now Teammates After Wawrinka Chastised Kyrgios For Lewd Remarks

Apparently, the Swiss star and No. 4 player in the world heading into the 2016 season has nothing to say about Kyrgios' comments that everything between the two is hunky-dory.

Wawrinka and Kyrgios helped lead the Singapore Slammers to the International Premier Tennis League title last week, but the fact that the two were teammates created bigger headlines because of their recent past.

Stan Wawrinka's Girlfriend Livid At ATP For Not Suspending Nick Kyrgios

During a match at the Rogers Cup in Canada in August, the 20-year-old Aussie tried to get under Wawrinka's skin by telling the Swiss player that his Australian compatriot, Thanasi Kokkinakis, slept with his girlfriend, Donna Vekic.

Kyrgios sounded as if the two had buried the hatchet over the incident, but he stopped short of saying he apologized to Wawrinka, according to Fox Sports Australia.

"It's been really good actually," Kyrgios told Fox Sports Australia about being teammates with Wawrinka. "We all have a group chat, we've all been chatting and I feel like we're a lot more comfortable with each other now.

"It's almost like nothing happened. We're out there competing playing for the same team, we want to win. I think that's been the main thing, is me just getting up and giving him the same energy I give everyone else and he's appreciated that."

Wawrinka has stopped short of saying anything. No media outlet has quoted him about his assessment of the situation and their current relationship. That may speak louder than any of Kyrgios' statements.

Fox Sports News posted a tweet of a handshake between Kyrgios and Wawrinka, claiming it to be "extremely awkward," but that does not appear to be the case.
