Brock Lesnar made his long-awaited return to the WWE at a live event over the weekend, but it's unknown what lies ahead for Paul Heyman's client in 2016.

Big Returns, Slammy Awards Highlight RAW Preview

"The Beast" is expected to make his television comeback this week on RAW in his home state of Minnesota, but his storyline direction heading into the New Year remains a question mark. It appears as though Lesnar will be feuding with the League of Nations faction, at least if this weekend's event was any indication.

With the Royal Rumble coming up on Jan. 24 at the Amway Center in Orlando, Fla., it is likely that Lesnar will be announced for the 30-man elimination bout. Here are three reasons why "The Beast" should win the 2016 Rumble Match, much like he did in 2003.

Early Picks To Win 2016 Rumble Match

1) Prize(d) Fighter

Lesnar is the most coveted person on the roster right now due to how big of a draw he is in Vince McMahon's promotion. It's no coincidence that when the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion is on hiatus, the WWE is at its lowest points creatively.

The current malaise was given a bit of a positive boost with Roman Reigns' big title win last week, but overall, the product has been stagnant for months. With Lesnar being the company's main attraction, there's no reason not to have him in the main event of the biggest show of the year.

2) Reigns Rematch

When Reigns and Lesnar battled in the WrestleMania 31 main event last year, it was interrupted by Seth Rollins, who cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase to win Lesnar's belt. "The Beast" then was "suspended indefinitely" the next night on RAW to explain his hiatus, and he didn't return to July 4 when he took on Kofi Kingston at Beast in the East.

There was never a resolution to Lesnar's feud with Reigns, and he rekindled his rivalry with The Undertaker soon after. The WWE can give Lesnar the rematch he deserves and settle the score between the two at WrestleMania 32, now that Reigns is the champion.

3) The Conqueror

It's hard to fathom anyone being able to lift Lesnar over the top rope and onto the floor in the Rumble Match, so for the sake of believability, he should win the bout if he's in it.

The WWE has booked Lesnar as an unstoppable machine and with Heyman having him motivated to be the best in the business, he should plow through all 29 other opponents and get his hand raised as he eyes another main event spot at WrestleMania 32 in April.
