Oakland quarterback Terrelle Pryor is set to return from a concussion as these two AFC West rivals square off tonight. This season, Pryor has gone 53-for-81 (65.4%) for 624 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. San Diego counters with Philip Rivers, who has gone 105-for-142 (73.9%) for 1,199 yards with 11 touchdowns and two picks.
Rivers is second in the league in completion percentage, touchdowns and passer rating (118.8). One of Rivers' preferred weapons this year has been Antonio Gates, who has 25 receptions for 364 yards and two touchdowns.
"I feel in sync," Rivers told ESPN. "I have a rhythm and I'm comfortable in the pocket when we get that no-huddle going."
Oakland is prepared for a challenge as it has lost to San Diego 17 times in their last 20 meetings.
"It's a divisional game, so we know it's going to be a tough, competitive football game," Oakland coach Dennis Allen told the team's official website. "I think they've got good players, and again, we're going to have to play well to beat them."
Pryor missed last Sunday's 24-14 loss to Washington after being knocked out in a 37-21 loss to Denver Sept. 23 with a head injury after throwing for a career-high 281 yards.
Oakland will be without Darren McFadden, who has rushed for 215 yards on 53 carries and has two touchdowns, while San Diego will be missing defensive end Dwight Freeney .
Two AFC rivals clash tonight as San Diego looks to reach a record above .500 while Oakland looks to get back on track with the return of Pryor.
