The WWE is about to get the face of the franchise back.
John Cena took a hiatus from Vince McMahon's company to film the upcoming Fox series "American Grit," but he'll make his in-ring return at a WWE live event on Dec. 26 at Madison Square Garden. The "Cenation" leader is returning to a very different WWE as the Roman Reigns Era kicked off Monday on RAW.
Possible Replacements For The Rock At WrestleMania
The WWE began to flounder in the "Cenation" leader's absence, but it seemed to pick up steam with a tremendous episode of the flagship show earlier this week. Still, the company could use Cena now more than ever given its lack of star power.
Here is a fantasy booking of Cena for the road to WrestleMania 32.
Early Predictions For 2016 Royal Rumble Match Winner

January
Cena's first television appearance after his return will likely be on the Dec. 28 or Jan. 4 edition of RAW. The "Cenation" leader should set his sights on Alberto Del Rio since he dethroned him of the United States Championship at Hell in a Cell. Cena can spend most of January trying to wrest back the United States Championship and feuding with the League of Nations before setting his sights on the WWE World Heavyweight Championship by announcing his participation in the Royal Rumble Match.
The WWE could conceivably run with a Cena and Reigns program at WrestleMania, but the rumors of the face of the franchise taking on The Undertaker have been very strong. During the 30-man match, 'Taker and Cena could have an altercation, with Cena getting the best of the "Deadman"
February
Since it's unlikely The Undertaker will compete at the WWE's Fastlane event in February, Cena could face Del Rio one more time and try to win back the U.S. Championship. Though the WWE might be playing the babyface vs. babyface mutual respect angle between 'Taker and Cena, there is a way more interesting route it could go in. The Undertaker's mind games should cause a distraction for the 15-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion, costing him his match against Del Rio and finally leading him to snap.
March/April
Over the next two months, the WWE can finally give fans what they've been pining for, an absolute heel Cena who goes on a rampage against The Undertaker, viciously attacking him. This would then lead to Undertaker laying down the challenge for Cena at WrestleMania 32 from AT&T Stadium in Texas on April 3. The Undertaker's mind games would mess with Cena along the way, while Cena's newfound brash attitude will lead to constant sneak attacks heading into the "Show of Shows." Then, the two will finally face-off at WrestleMania 32.
Since Brock Lesnar should have the distinction of being the only man to ever beat 'Taker at WrestleMania, the "Demon from Death Valley" should cleanly go over the former U.S. Champion to gain his revenge. It's doubtful the WWE will ever turn Cena heel because of his merchandise sales and work with Make-A-Wish, but a villainous Cena going up against a babyface Undertaker would be a much better way to book the angle than a boring mutual respect storyline. A Cena heel turn could be revolutionary.
