Today at 1:00 p.m., the New Orleans Saints (4-0) will attempt to stay unbeaten in Chicago when they take on the Bears (3-1) coming off their first loss of the season. Live stream the game here; Bears fans can listen to the game on 105.9 FM, while Saints fans may do the same on WWL 870 AM.
Saints wide receiver Marques Colston told reporters this week that New Orleans' 4-0 start isn't going to lead to complacency, even after a thrashing of the previously unbeaten Miami Dolphins on Monday Night Football.
"You just got to tune out everything outside the locker room and focus on going to play a good opponent this week," Colston said. "You've got to fight against human nature at all times, and 4-0 was obviously the start that we were looking, for but there's still a lot of football yet to be played. So it's focusing on the reason why we are sitting at 4-0 and just continuing to try to get better."
Much of the credit for the Saints' hot start is given to head coach Sean Payton, who missed all of the 2012 season on suspension during the fallout from "Bountygate."
"We all try to be, as coaches, very critical of ourselves, just like we'd be of players," Payton said. "I don't know that there's ever any complete satisfaction. It's not like a Snickers bar, so I think you're always looking to improve."
The Bears were also undefeated heading into last Sunday's clash with the Detroit Lions, but a sloppy effort from the Bears offense, and most notably quarterback Jay Cutler, sank them in Week 4. "I don't think what happened (last Sunday) means that it has to happen next week or the week after," coach Marc Trestman said. "It could, but we're working to prevent those situations from happening. We got guys committed to do that."
