The Philadelphia Eagles 1-3 start apparently hasn't stopped Michael Vick from having all the fun playing in new coach Chip Kelly's system he was boasting of during the preseason.
Vick, who has indeed excelled in Philly's new high-octane offense, seemingly has just 12 games left to convince the Eagles he should remain apart of the team's long plans.
"I think that's solely up to the direction that this ownership wants to go in," Vick, a free agent at the end of the season, told ProFootballZone.com. "Obviously, I love Philadelphia. I don't want anything more than to bring a championship to this city. But the most important thing for me is to keep playing consistently, giving this team the best chance to win. It's hard because... I think about my future, i think about me being on a one-year deal. But I don't know what's going to happen. I just want to win."
The 33-year-old Vick has completed 55 percent of his passes for 1,080 yards and five TDS over the first four games. He has also rushed for 228 yards and two more score. In Week 2's 33-30 overtime loss to San Diego, Vick threw for a career-high 428 yards and three touchdowns.
