The best way to cash on weekly fantasy football sites is to load up on as many stars with good matchups as possible. Due to budget restraints, however, fantasy players must sacrifice other positions to nab the stars they want.

Here, you'll find the top bargains at each position on Draft Kings that will let you splurge elsewhere.

Top Waiver Wire Pickups For The Fantasy Playoffs

Quarterbacks

1. Ryan Fitzpatrick, Jets ($5,400): Jets Nation is waiting for the clock to strike midnight on the Fitzmagic, but it seems like he will continue to put up big numbers as long as his weapons are healthy. Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker are playing elite football, and Fitz is just keeping it simple, and throwing to those two guys. Dallas is ready for the season to be over, while the Jets have EVERYTHING to play for. Expect Fitzpatrick to notch his 11th multi-touchdown game of the year.

2. Alex Smith, Chiefs ($5,100): Speaking of teams ready to end the season, the Chiefs will be up against Baltimore this week, and the Ravens have the NFL’s 26th-ranked pass defense. Smith has been as steady as it gets this season; he’s $300 cheaper than Fitzpatrick and he offers even more safety, but a lower ceiling. Smith is not going to be the reason you won this week, but he won’t be why you lost.

Rob Gronkowski Is As Much An MVP Candidate As Tom Brady Is

3. T.J. Yates, Texans ($5,000): Starters at backup prices are always a smart buy. Maybe Yates stinks up the joint, but if so he won’t put a hole in your wallet (budget?). The matchup is pleasant as well, as Yates will face the 20th-ranked pass defense of the Colts. With DeAndre Hopkins at his disposal you can count on at least one touchdown.

Running Backs

1. DuJuan Harris, Seahawks ($4,600): The Seahawks lost Thomas Rawls for the season on Sunday, and they clearly don’t trust Fred Jackson’s aged body to withstand much work. Harris is not a special player by any means but the Seahawks offense is humming and he will get 18-20 carries. Oh yeah, and Cleveland has one of the worst run defenses in football.

2. Giovani Bernard, Bengals ($4,500): Bernard’s workload can be alarming, but the 49ers defense has been horrific of late, and the Bengals are still playing for a No. 1 seed. Jeremy Hill’s ineffectiveness has to lead to more work for Bernard at some point, and this is the perfect opportunity for an explosion.

3. Tim Hightower, Saints ($3,900): Draft Kings users who love to pick up low-priced, high-volume rushers are going to love Hightower once again this week. Hightower is shockingly relevant once again, and even though he is not going to make wow plays anymore, he is probably good for close to 20 touches against an average Lions D.

Wide Receivers

1. Danny Amendola, Patriots ($5,700): The Pats’ No. 1 is a total target-hound, and even with Rob Gronkowski back in the mix that won’t change. His targets dropped from the 11-13 he was getting, but that’s a potential game flow quirk. It would be shocking if he was thrown to fewer than seven times, and Tennessee’s secondary is unlikely to provide much resistance.

2. Robert Woods, Bills ($3,800): The Redskins are dead last in the NFL against No. 2 receivers, which is exactly what Woods is. Woods is consistently targeted by Tyrod Taylor, and this week he’s poised to do damage with those looks.

3. Tyler Lockett, Seahawks ($4,200): Grabbing pieces of Seattle's offense right now is wise since they are red-hot. Doug Baldwin is scorching at the moment, but Lockett is more talented, and cheaper, and therefore a better bargain.

Tight Ends

1. Gary Barnidge, Browns ($5,000): The Seahawks are surprisingly bad against tight ends, and Barnidge has emerged as one of the best in the NFL. This is an easy one.

2. Travis Kelce, Chiefs ($4,400): The Ravens are weak vs. tight ends, and the defense seems to have quit on the season in general. The Chiefs are still fighting to maintain their spot in the postseason, and Kelce makes for an affordable stack with Alex Smith.

3. Zach Miller, Bears ($3,600): Miller is the guy with Martellus Bennett’s season over and the Vikings are just 25th vs. tight ends. Miller has proven to be very reliable near the goal line, so he has a very good chance at a TD.
