Luke Rockhold proved a point when he won via TKO in the fourth round against former champion Chris Weidman and now he want to avenge some of his career losses.

But before that, it may all depend first on whether the UFC grants Weidman a rematch, usually the case when one talks about new title reigns.

However, according to Bleacher Report, seeing Weidman defend the belt only thrice in addition to the somehow lopsided manner of the fight, a rematch may not be in the cards just yet.

And seeing how the UFC has prioritized big-name fights over rematches, there is a chance that a Rockhold vs. Belfort clash could happen next.

Belfort dealt Rockhold one of his loses on May 18, 2013, at UFC on FX, which “The Phenom” won via KO in the first round. Rockhold was a newcomer at the time and he endured a vicious spinning head kick along with some punches courtesy of his Portuguese adversary.

Now all mature and better molded, Rockhold wants another crack at Belfort, who is coming off another KO win last month when he defeated rival Dan Henderson in the first round.

Rockhold’s only other loss was against Tony Rubalcava, which happened way back in 2007 via TKO.

Aside from Belfort, there is also another fighter that he could face, Yoel Romero, who is coming off a split decision win over Ronaldo Souza, would make sense as his next opponent. So who does he see fighting next aside from Weidman?

“Vitor Belfort on a silver platter would be a beautiful thing. I would love it,” Rockhold said via Sherdog.com. “Yoel’s a tough dude. I’ll let the boss choose. That fight will happen. Me and Yoel have to fight. We know this is coming.”
