Sunday night, the WWE TLC event hits the airwaves, though not too many folks are excited about it with Sheamus likely to escape the TD Garden as champion.
No disrespect to the "Celtic Warrior," but seeing the Mohawk-haired Irish Superstar remaining as champion hasn’t really turned things around for the WWE.

Actually, it doesn’t seem like holding back Roman Reigns’ time as champion has done any good. In fact it has even hurt the WWE as can be seen in the ratings game. The WWE has ended up playing with the rants of the fans. though there are some who just, well, hate Reigns as mentioned via Forbes.com.
The word out is that Sheamus will retain the title by all “dirty means” necessary. Such is practically a given seeing the “sympathy” angle for Reigns. But looking forward, is the WWE really ending the year with Sheamus, who isn’t even faring well in the merchandise department?

If this is one taken into consideration, the obvious choice is to see the WWE going with Reigns as the champ after Dec. 13. He is the second top-seller in merchandise in the WWE right now next to John Cena as reported by Wrestlinenews.co, while Sheamus is down at the 7th spot.
So if that were the case, why choose the low-selling star over the higher selling one? And if Reigns is performing miserably, why are the numbers showing such?
There has to be something wrong somewhere and the WWE may be looking at all the wrong sources as far as determining who should be at the top and who shouldn’t be there.
Of course it could also mean that even if Reigns is not the champion, the WWE has done an excellent job with him even as a regular competitor. But why go with a heel who hasn’t even come close to what Seth Rollins had before?
