Brandon Rios will continue to fight after all.

After suffering a knockout loss to Timothy Bradley Jr., the 29-year-old Rios has finally come back to his senses to resume his boxing career.

His manager, Cameron Dunkin, bares via Boxingscene.com that Rios was not fully prepared against Bradley since he focused more on shedding of excess weight at that time. Rios had to lose 55 to 60 pounds to make the limit.

Upon learning of his plans to retire, Rios' plans came as a shock to Bradley. He urged to Rios to think it over and regain his focus, believing that Bam Bam’s decision was a bit impulsive and irrational.

Though there are no official plans yet on what Rios plans to do moving forward, Dunkin says that the immediate task is to trim down to 147 lbs. Until “Bam Bam” is able to do so, it is unlikely he will be naming any opponent for now.

Despite that, the name of Ruslan Provodnikov was mentioned by Dunkin, though the choice of opponent may no longer be in the hands of Rios. With that devastating loss to Bradley, Rios may have to work his way back up to credibie standards before he is given another shot at big-name fighters.

But according to Dunkin, Rios is ready to do just that and do practically anything to get his career back on track.

Aside from Provodnikov, Dunkin mentioned Lucas Matthysse and Jessie Vargas as other possible foes for the American boxer. If he is able to whip himself back to shape soon, Rios could be back in the ring by March or April of 2016 per the Digital Journal.
