Jeremy Lin is having an okay season off the bench for the Hornets, but famed hair stylist Jonathan Antin knows the secret to getting Lin into the starting lineup, and drawing headlines once again. It’s his scissors.
Antin was asked about Lin’s most recent hairstyle, a bizarre look with the sides shaved, and the hair on top matted down, with a tiny ponytail on the end. Antin wasn’t much of a fan, as he told TMZ.
Kristaps Porzingis Is The Next Jeremy Lin ... Kind Of
“He’s trying to do this shaved…head, like Brad Pitt did something like that like a year ago. I think he’s trying to do the Brad Pitt thing. That’s a year old, bro,” Antin said of Lin’s new do.
“Here’s the bottom line, I think it could look better. I think it could be blended in on the sides, and sort of texturized on top, instead of just buzzed and then this weird mop thing into a ponytail on top. To me that’s a little odd. It’s a little weird."

Antin has been responsible for the hair of many celebrities and athletes, and he used his long relationship with Tiger Woods as an example of what he could do for Lin.
“Bottom line, I did Tiger Woods’ hair for 14 years through all of his first 70 wins. Every major that he won, was with my haircut. When he stopped getting his hair cut from me, he stopped winning.” Woods has 79 career wins, so he didn’t completely stop winning, but fair point.
Lin is sixth on the Hornets in minutes, and he was passed over in the preseason for a starting gig for P.J. Hairston, who is averaging 4.2 points. Lin averages 10.2 points and 2.9 assists, but is hurt by his 30 percent mark from the 3-point line. Maybe Antin is right, and all he needs is to “feel right” on the court.
