Three days after being reported missing, Kristin Cavallari's brother, Michael, was found dead by police.

Michael Cavallari's 2014 Honda Civic was found abandoned on Nov. 27 on I-70 in Utah, raising concerns about his whereabouts. Police eventually discovered the remains of whom they believe to be Cavallari and an investigation into the cause of his death is ongoing. He was 30.

Disappearance Of Michael Cavallari Was Suspicious

Kristin Cavallari, who is the wife of Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, issued a statement following the tragic news.

"We want to thank everyone for their love, support and prayers during this very difficult time," she said, according to E! News. "We have just been informed by the authorities my brother's body has been found. This is a very painful time and we are still processing it all. We kindly ask everyone please respect our privacy during our time of grieving."

Jay Cutler Wouldn't Trade Matt Forte For Adrian Peterson

In response to the untimely passing of Michael, Cutler has decided to dedicate the Bears' game against the Redskins on Sunday to the memory of his brother-in-law.

"Jay is going to risk getting fined by the NFL by putting Michael's initials either on his arm or cleats and he is dedicating the game to him this weekend," a source told Hollywood Life. "He is going to have Michael close to his heart and hopes it gives him strength to have a great performance and a Bears win in his honor."

Michael unfortunately had a history of getting into trouble and was arrested in California five days before his disappearance, according to E! News. Police confirmed seeing the former "Hills" star's brother in surveillance footage at a convenience store, confirming that he was driving the Honda Civic on the same day it was abandoned.

Kristin, 28, had always been close with Michael despite his issues, and she posted a childhood photo of the two after he went missing on her Instagram page and another one after the news broke of his passing.

Cutler will likely get fined for his tribute to his wife's fallen brother, and he'll undoubtedly take the field with a heavy heart.
