The NBA has already gone international, but it needs Kristaps Porzingis at the NBA All-Star game for it to truly matter.
Carmelo Anthony Hasn’t Earned A Spot At Kristaps Porzingis’ Dinner Table
The 7-foot-3 phenom is already guaranteed to feature in the Rookie-Sophomore Game. It’s the main attraction, however, that warrants his presence. One NBA source believes the premise isn’t as outlandish as some may think.
“It’s going to be interesting,’’ the source told The Post. “I don’t know if he gets in, but he’ll get votes. He’s popular in the US, too.”
Kristaps Porzingis Has More Street Cred Than Carmelo Anthony
Man I blew my Kristaps Porzingis projections so bad. Latzilla might make the All Star game at this rate.

Popular? That’s an understatement.
That Porzingis is already the 7th best selling jersey is impressive, but the other stat mentioned here is just crazy pic.twitter.com/pkTeLnR0FO

Despite only averaging 14.6 points and 8.9 rebounds this season, only Steph Curry can be mentioned in the same sentence as Porzingis.
So forget merits, the NBA All-Star game is a celebration of the sport. Nothing more than a glorified exhibition designed to entertain the fans.
Who better to entertain than a rookie sensation that’s already holding his own against the likes of Dirk Nowitzki?
