Kerry Washington is at the end of her rope in her marriage with former NFL cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha.

The three-time Pro Bowler has remained unemployed since his stint with the 49ers came to an unceremonious end in November 2013 when San Francisco opted to waive him. Washington is apparently fed up with working 14-hour days on the set of "Scandal," while Asomugha remains jobless.

Reasons Tim Tebow, Olivia Culpo Relationship Never Materialized

"Things have gotten so bad, Kerry and Nnamdi are barely talking," a source told In Touch about the couple. "They are like two strangers living under the same roof."

The source described the couple as "pretty much separated" and said that their attempt at reconciling through marriage counseling didn't work. Washington has met with her attorney and is starting to prepare for divorce proceedings. The two welcomed their daughter, Isabel, into the world just 19 months ago.

The couple tied the knot in June 2013, but reports of cracks in their foundation began as early as four months into their marriage. There was a lot of speculation that the former cornerback may be gay, while Washington was even the subject of lesbian rumors, which she eventually addressed.

"I've never been bothered by the lesbian rumor," Washington told People in 2013 when asked about her mysterious personal life. "There's nothing offensive about it, so there's no reason to be offended."

Lesbian or not, it seems her marriage with Asomugha has hit the skids. The couple has already put their compound in Hollywood Hills West up for sale at $2.695 million, according to The LA Times. Washington is apparently at her wits end with the former football star, who reportedly blames her for the marriage ending.

"Nnamdi resents her," said the source. "He believes Kerry's the one who's given up on their marriage."

It looks like the woman who plays Olivia Pope is now dealing with a real-life scandal.
