Keith Hernandez has had a storied life and soon his fans can live vicariously through him through a tell-all memoir.

The former National League MVP will reveal a lot about his personal life in a tell-all book that is due to be released in 2017. Hernandez will detail everything from his childhood to his playing days to his drug use, which was highly publicized after he admitted to having a problem in 1986.

"Now I'm ready to give a book my all," Hernandez told the Associated Press. "I have a lot to say about the real Keith Hernandez, the life I had growing up in a house where a baseball glove and cleats were the only new things I ever had, all the way through the seasons I had playing in and winning the World Series with the greatest groups of guys you could imagine."

Hernandez, 62, won the World Series twice in his career, once in 1982 with the Cardinals and again in 1986 with the Mets. He also won the MVP Award when he was with St. Louis in 1979. All of those big events in his life will be detailed in the new book, which is entitled, "I Am Keith Hernandez."

The five-time All-Star also had some tremendous success off the field and in the acting realm as he appeared in television shows such as "Seinfeld" and "Law and Order" before becoming a fixture of the Mets booth in the 2006 season. It's his appearance in "Seinfeld" season 3 that helped him come up with the title of his book.

While Hernandez's career was filled with many accolades, his drug issue will definitely be a darker chapter in the book. The former first baseman delved heavily into cocaine, but was able to overcome the throes of addiction.

This isn't the former ballplayer's first foray into publishing as he partnered with Mike Bryan to publish "If at First: A Season With the Mets" in 1986 and "Pure Baseball: Pitch by Pitch for the Advanced Fan" in 1995, according to Sports Illustrated. Hernandez also co-wrote "Shea Good-Bye: The Untold Inside Story of the Historic 2008 Season" with Matthew Silverman.

Hernandez's latest venture will allow fans an opportunity to get to know who the 11-time Gold Glover really is.
