Amir Khan has turned his attention to fellow Brit Kell Brook and if negotiations push through, boxing fans can look forward to another mega fight that could come close to Carl Froch and George Groves.

Khan’s sudden change of direction comes in light of Pacquiao reportedly opting to face Timothy Bradley Jr. as his final opponent for April 9, 2016. He, along with Bradley and Terence Crawford, was on the final list, but his chances were pretty much dampened with promoter Bob Arum not to keen on wanting Khan as the Filipino’s final opponent.

Manny Pacquiao Opts to Fight Timothy Bradley Jr. For A Third Time

"We're pushing forward for the Amir Khan fight and we expect it to happen at the end of May or early June," Eddie Hearn said via Sky Sports. "In the meantime, if we have to deal with the mandatory then it's likely we'll travel to America to do it because it's more appealing there than here."

Brook has repeatedly gone after Khan previously and now it seems that his wish may finally be granted. However there is a botched fight in the way -- that one which saw him withdraw from a scheduled fight against Diego Chaves on account of a rib injury as reported via the Daily Mail.

And then there is another fighter that the IBF has mandated for Brook to face -- Kevin Bizier. according to The Guardian. With two obstacles in the way, it will be interesting to see how Hearn can weave his magic to bump up a fight with Khan instead.

Aside from the fighters in mention, another aspect that needs to be addressed is the actual fight date. Khan wants a fight before the Ramadan month (June 6) which could make that planned June 4 date a close one to call.
