Holly Holm has said she'll absolutely give Ronda Rousey a rematch. But the new UFC women's bantamweight champion better be aware what she's getting into.

UFC president Dana White seems to be on a mission to return Rousey to her throne as the face of the UFC -- which White is smart to do as a businessman.

Ex-Wrestler Claims Holly Holm's Ass-Kicking Of Ronda Rousey's Was Fixed

He already has come out with the ridiculous statement that Rousey is an even bigger star now, after having been bludgeoned by Holm at UFC 193 in Australia. Now, he is making excuses for the fallen champ's loss, according to MMA Junkie.

"I've talked to her almost every day after the fight," White said. "When she sat down with me and Lorenzo (Fertitta) a few days ago, she said, 'I was exhausted going into that fight. I was exhausted mentally, physically, personally.' She had a lot of personal things going on, too, with her family."

Holly Holm Says Post-Match Bashing Of Ronda Rousey Unjustified

Can you imagine NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell saying after Super Bowl XLIX that quarterback Russell Wilson still was dealing with the emotions from his 2014 breakup with wife Ashton Meem, and that's why he threw the last-minute interception that secured the Patriots' victory over the Seahawks?

That's essentially what White is doing.

White announced that a rematch will take place and said he intends to make sure Rousey is ready this time, before referring to Holm as an afterthought.

Should Holm be concerned about a stacked deck against her? Remember, the original date for the Rousey-Holm fight was scheduled for January, but then the UFC forced Holm to accept a move-up date to November.

So the Albuquerque native could be forgiven for being a bit leery about a rematch.

"I think that if we didn't make the rematch, me and (UFC CEO) Lorenzo Fertitta should probably lose our promoter's license if we didn't make that rematch," White said on ESPN's Mike and Mike. "That fight's going to happen. I don't know when, but that fight's going to happen. Ronda Rousey has gone undefeated, taken the sport to another level and was beating the best women in the world in 14 seconds and 30 seconds. She deserves a rematch, and Holly deserves a rematch, and we'll figure it out.

"You have to give Ronda some time. When Ronda's ready to come back -- there's literally no pressure on her whatsoever to think about anything as far as fighting goes."

Unless she wants to fight some more. Then there's absolutely pressure on Rousey to come back and prove Holm's victory was a result of the out-of-the-ring distractions Rousey faced, rather than Holm's superior skills.

White added that he has a unique relationship with Rousey.

If White wants to become Rousey's publicist, fine. Resign as UFC boss. But if he remains president, his comments -- and more importantly, his actions -- better ensure that Holm is just as ready for the rematch as Rousey.

The boss needs to refrain from showing the favoritism that already exists.
