UFC 194 has so far been about Jose Aldo and Conor McGregor and some folks seem to have forgotten the other important cards for the event which takes plan next week.

Among the matches that could prove to be interesting is the one involving Chris Weidman and Luke Rockhold, a face-off of contrasting styles singled out via MMA Frenzy.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. Believes That Media Overhyped Ronda Rousey against Holly Holm

Weidman is widely believed to be resorting to this wrestling knowledge as he tries to ground the strike-conscious Luke Rockhold next weekend.

Regardless, Rockhold is unfazed and seems prepared for Weidman’s tactics and he is getting help from two bigger and better wrestlers as bared by him via MMAfighting.com.

Despite Knockout, Ronda Rousey Still Looks Better Than Holly Holm

“I’ve been sparring Cain (Velasquez) and Cormier my whole career, basically, so I’m very used to the bigger, better wrestlers of the UFC and beyond. (They are) the best guys in the game and much bigger (than Weidman), so I’m used to the pressure.

On the other end, Weidman is equally unfazed by what Rockhold carries. He knows that Rockhold will try to go on the offensive and use his striking talent to the hilt and obviously, taking him down to prevent Rockhold from gaining momentum will be key.

Now Rockhold has some wrestling skills to his credit so he may have the ability to counter them as needed.

The match is looming as the battle of extremes and as always, the one who executes his game plan to the letter will likely come out on top. One slip up could be costly for either fighter so expect this tiff to be equally interesting as the one between Aldo and McGregor.
