While John Cena is mixing it up in Hollywood, Lana is coming up with ways to explain her broken Russian accent.

Give the Diva some credit, Lana is asked to pretend to be from Russia despite being a Gainesville, Fla. native who moved to Nashville. Getting stuck with a Russian gimmick is tough, but at least the blonde bombshell is sticking to the bit.

The "Ravishing Russian" sat down with her real-life fiancée Rusev, and spoke with Michael Cole about their latest WWE storyline. It was quite obvious to many viewers that her Russian accent was fading away during some of the dialogue, exposing Lana's real life American English voice.

Despite this, Lana, whose real name is C.J. Perry, stuck to her guns on Twitter, after being met with many mean responses from smart fans.

While Lana stuck to this bit, she has spoiled WWE storylines in the past. The former actress-turned-wrestler was feuding with Rusev in WWE angles when the word of their pending nuptials spilled out to the WWE, generating heat for the Diva.

While Lana's acting has come under fire with fans on social media, Cena's Hollywood life is starting to take off. The "Cenation" leader already stole the show acting alongside Amy Schumer in "Trainwreck" and he will soon appear alongside Tina Fey and Amy Poehler in "Sisters," which hits theaters on Dec. 18.

Cena plays "Pazuzu" in the upcoming film and his drug dealer character is similar to how most WWE fans want him to act as a heel in the squared circle, something which may never happen again.

"The meaning for my character is simple - they need drugs. And I'm a drug dealer," Cena says in a brief video describing his role. "They ask us to hang out, which is probably the biggest mistake of his life. The party starts out pretty lackluster, then gets kind of cool, and then gets pretty crazy, and then becomes chaotic."

Judging by the sneak preview, Cena's acting skills are sure to land him more Hollywood roles, while Lana, who has done some solid acting in the past, is constantly saddled with the Russian shtick.

Lana isn't alone with being sidled with bad gimmicks and not being able to get the acting down. Summer Rae and Tyler Breeze resemble that distinction.

The WWE may have to consider canning the Russian act, because the fans are privy to it and Lana will never land in the same spotlight as Cena if it continues.
