There was a time when Ronda Rousey said Holly Holm would not want her life because the former boxer may have a hard time coping up with the fame and pressure tied up of being a UFC champion.

That was of course relayed by Rousey prior to UFC 193 via MMAFighting.com, confident that Holm would simply be another opponent waiting to fall. Unfortunately (or fortunately?), fate had other plans and Holm shocked the world by knocking out the Rowdy one and claiming the UFC Women’s Bantamweight title.

"I think this kind of environment isn't what Holly would like. I hope that she takes the money that she gets for losing and has a great life that she would like a lot more than this one," Rousey said at that time.

With that out of the way, the stage was not set. Can Holly Holm handle being in the limelight as UFC Women’s Bantamweight champion?

Thus far, she has been doing okay though it may be too early to compare both fighters. Holm is just starting while Rousey was up there for a while.

So in essence, the severity of what Rousey was talking about could be yet to come. Holm has been around. She has appeared on TV shows, sporting events that included her alongside Floyd Mayweather Jr.

In all, she seems to be on her way though it remains to be seen how far she can live this kind of life despite the singled out apprehensions of Rousey via the Bleacher Report.

And on that note, it could be another challenge for Holm. Can she prove Rousey wrong once again just like she did at UFC 193?
