Aaron Hernandez was the shooter in a 2012 drive-by double homicide in Boston, according to a man who survived the attack . The shooting victim added that he actually saw the former New England Patriots tight end's face.
According to LarryBrownSports.com, the survivor recently came forward and told police it was the 23-year-old Hernandez who opened fire on the vehicle all of the victims were traveling in after leaving a bar in downtown Boston.
Investigators have previously obtained surveillance footage from a nearby nightclub that shows Hernandez with the two victims just hours before they were killed. The gun used in the shooting was also recently found in a woman's car who is from Hernandez's hometown of Bristol, Conn.
In June, a silver Toyota SUV police believe was also used in the shooting was discovered parked in a garage of a home owned by Hernandez's uncle.
Hernandez remains jailed without bail and relegated to solitary confinement at the Bristol County on first-degree murder charges in the killing of 27-year-old semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd. Police have previously speculated Hernandez may have been motivated to kill Lloyd because he had information about his alleged involvement in the Boston shooting.
Hernandez has pled not guilty in the Lloyd shooting.
