After anxious moments before the Tyson Fury vs. Wladimir Kltischko fight, the bout went on as scheduled and when the smoke cleared, one man was able to live up to the belief of his father since the day he was born.

Tyson Fury hacked out an impressive unanimous decision victory over Wladimir Klitschko, ending the 39-year-old Ukrainian’s rein and also handing him his first defeat since 2004.

The win enabled Fury to snatch the WBA, IBF, and WBO heavyweight belts, and also the minor IBO title from Klitschko, though a rematch is expected to take place.

It turns out that a rematch clause was included in the contract, which seems hardly an issue for the pumped up 27-year-old.

Fury went as far as placing a £200,000 bet on himself, as previously reported by Mirror, and even vowed to hang it all up if he lost to Klitschko via separate report from ESPN. Though Fury did do a lot of foolish things such as dressing up in a Batman costume and calling Klitschko ‘a joker’, he would later on explain that all of these were simply done to add some spice to their encounter.

"I've said some stupid things," an emotional Fury said via the New York Times. "Wladimir, you're a great champion and thanks for having me. It was all fun and games in the buildup."

It was a defining moment for Fury who was born three months early and weighed just one pound. He was hardly given a chance to live, but eventually he did.

His father, John Fury, believed that it was destiny and Tyson (named after boxing legend Mike Tyson) would someday become heavyweight champion.

And that happened, providing a memory for Fury for years to come.
