Terence Crawford is eager to find out if he will indeed be the chosen one but has left a good sense of sanity just in case he doesn’t end up as the chosen one to fight Manny Pacquiao on April 9, 2016.

Crawford is one of three names that the Filipino boxing icon is choosing from. The other names in the mix are Amir Khan and Timothy Bradley Jr.

However, there is a strong clamor for Crawford to be the chosen one right now since he is a new face in the mix while also a dangerous one.

As far as Crawford is concerned, he is approaching everything as professional as he can. While there is a chance he could be passed up, life goes on for the 28-year-old fighter.

"I don't pick 'em, I just fight 'em. But I would be 100 percent ready for Pacquiao. I'm ready right now. If that fight happens so be it. And if it doesn't, we go and continue on with my career. That doesn't stop my career because I don't get the Pacquiao fight," says Crawford in an interview with ESPN.

And while that seems to be quite a commendable attitude, Top Rank promoter Bob Arum on the other hand is hoping that Pacquiao’s opponent will not be Khan.

“Would I prefer it not to be Khan? Yes, but this is Manny's last fight. I have a duty to him to present him all of the options. Do I hope he doesn't pick Khan though? Of course, but I don't think he will pick Khan," says Arum via SB Nation.

So right now, there is no word on who Pacquiao really intends to fight since he doesn’t really have a preference on which of the three to face.

The only thing for sure that whoever among Crawford, Khan or Bradley is picked, Pacquiao is the one who made the final decision and no one else.
