The 76ers may be on the verge of infamy but that doesn’t mean that any player on that team will easily back down, on and off the court.

After losing yet again -- to the Celtics on Wednesday -- Sixers rookie Jahlil Okafor along with some of his friends decided to head out somewhere and chill.

They eventually got to a local bar, The Storyville Nightclub, which unfortunately had a lot of basketball fans who were aware of the current status of the Sixers as reported by Philly.com.

Being a high-profile player who was considered to be among the top picks from the recent 2015 NBA Draft, Okafor get his share of insults such as “The 76ers [expletive]” as reported via TMZ.

Apparently not in the mood, a brawl followed. Okafor was seen shouting at some individuals and thereafter shoving a man to the ground.

The video further shows the 6-foot-11 player being restrained but the Sixers rookie still managed to get in a punch from seemingly the same guy he shoved to the ground.

The latest off-court drama brings another woeful development to the already sagging fortunes of the franchise.

Aside from the altercation, Okafor could be in hot water if he is found to have consumed alcohol. He is only 19 years old and is technically not permitted to consume alcohol.

The Sixers will be playing the Rockets on Friday and this unfortunate incident shrouds the already misfiring team.
