Star Magazine is reporting reality TV star Khloe Kardashian will spend the weekend of her fourth wedding anniversary formally filing for divorce from NBA husband Lamar Odom.
According to Star, after a summer of public humiliation during which her husband was alleged to have had affairs with at least five different women and been accused of having a "hardcore" drug addiction, 29-year-old Kardashian has grown weary and will move to file necessary documents by the end of the day on Monday.
Star has previously reported Washington D.C. stripper Jennifer Richardson, California lawyer Polina Polonsky and grad student Sandy Schultz have all publicly admitted they engaged in affairs with the 33-year-old NBA veteran. In August, Odom was also arrested on DUI charges that could end in jail time.
Star adds Kardashian's decision to wait as long as she has before seeking to legally split from her husband was all predicated on business. The magazine reports Kardashian will receive a financial windfall for waiting until their fourth anniversary to actually end their marriage.
A source close to the Kardashian klan told Star based on the prenuptial agreement the couple signed at the time of their union, Kardashian will receive at least $500,000 for each year of their marriage. In addition, she is expected to retain ownership of the $4 million Tarzana mansion the couple once shared along with most of its possessions.
"Khloe has wanted to divorce Lamar for months, but just like her mother, Kris [Jenner], she's a smart businesswoman and knew the benefit of waiting until her four year anniversary," the source told Star. "This is just adding to Lamar's misery - the fact that Khloe waited until their anniversary to file brings on a huge revelation that Khloe was just using him for his money."
