Brock Osweiler will make his second straight for the Broncos on Sunday and it’s for the betterment of the NFL. There’s no need to subject fans to yet another Tom Brady and Peyton Manning contest.
For all the iconic moments, for all the greatness, for all the narratives, Brady-Manning has never been a true rivalry. It’s really just one man aimlessly chasing his counterpart.
Time For Peyton Manning To Retire
In 16 career starts against Brady, Manning boasts a Browns-like record of 5-11. The two are 2-2 head to head in the playoffs, but that’s where the similarities end.
In the category that matters most -- Super Bowls -- it’s Brady 4-1 Manning.
Tom Brady Doesn’t Think Highly Of Peyton Manning Anymore
I can't believe the Brady-Manning rivalry is going to be over before it's even started! *Quarterbacks don't play each other

The respect isn’t even mutual anymore.
In emails submitted among documents in the NFLPA’s suit over the four-game suspension for Brady’s role in Deflategate, Brady said of Manning, per CBS Sports: "I've got another 7 or 8 years. He has 2."
Given how 2015 has transpired, the premise isn’t exactly far fetched.
The Broncos enter Week 12 with an 8-2 record in spite of Manning, not because of him. The 39-year-old is completing less than 60 percent of his passes and boasts just nine TDs to 17 INTs.
Brady meanwhile -- with his 25:4 TD-to-INT ratio -- is out there throwing the football with no regard for human life.
This isn’t to say Osweiler will fare better against Brady than Manning has, but at least there’s the possibility for a different outcome.
To suggest #Bronocs Osweiler needs to beat Patriots to lock down the starting job is silly… Manning has lost to Brady in 11 of 16 games.

There’s only so many times you can watch the same movie before you crave something different.
