Less than 24 hours after Survivor Series, the WWE already started to build toward its next big event: TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs, by revealing the main event.

Lack Of Roster Depth Leads To Dearth Of Contenders In WWE

After Sheamus cashed in his Money in the Bank contract at Survivor Series to put an end to Roman Reigns' short reign as WWE World Heavyweight Champion, it was announced that the "Celtic Warrior's" first defense of the gold will take place in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match. The event emanates live from the TD Garden in Boston on Dec. 13.

Here are five possible outcomes to the TLC main event:

WWE Survivor Series Results & Review

1) A Reign for Reigns

For all the reports of the WWE being high on Reigns as its next top guy, they've screwed him around every turn creatively, showing that they either have cold feet about him or are waiting until WrestleMania 32 to crown him. Reigns' last two attempts at the belt were sullied by Money in the Bank cash-ins.

The narrative is the WWE's attempt to make Reigns into a sympathetic figure, but they could decide to just anoint him with the richest prize in the game at TLC. With the WWE's bench not very deep due to injuries to Randy Orton, Cesaro and Rollins as well as hiatuses from Brock Lesnar and John Cena, it's conceivable that the strap could be put on the leader of the Roman Empire.

2) Luck of the Irish

The lack of depth could be paying dividends for Sheamus and he may be the placeholder champion until WrestleMania season kicks in around the Royal Rumble. To have Sheamus hold the Money in the Bank briefcase for eight months only to cash it in, win the title, and lose it a month later doesn't make much sense. The odds are that Sheamus will somehow walk out of the TD Garden with the gold, probably with Reigns getting screwed again.

3) Lunatic Fringe

Dean Ambrose seems to be poised to wrestle in the midcard now that the WWE World Heavyweight Championship tournament is over, but it's curious he wasn't around to help out Reigns when he was getting beaten down by the heels on RAW. There have been a lot of rumors about an eventual heel turn for the "Lunatic Fringe," but it didn't happen at SummerSlam or Survivor Series, so it may never come to fruition.

Ambrose could come out to help Reigns thwart off Sheamus and anyone else who gets involved in the match, or perhaps he could complete the turn and become the latest obstacle in the way of Reigns reaching his destiny.

4) Authority Rules

Triple H has stacked quite the army against Reigns, with Rusev returning on RAW this week and Bad News Barrett attacking the babyface at the end of the show. It seems likely that one or all of these forces could get involved in order to help Sheamus retain the title.

5) The Beast is Back

Brock Lesnar is unlikely to appear at TLC, but he needs a program heading into the Royal Rumble and has some unfinished business with Reigns. It's possible "The Beast" could interfere and set up a potential Triple Threat Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at the Rumble.
