Another quarterback goes down with a season-ending injury and Colin Kaepernick suddenly has another possible destination in 2016.

Kaepernick, who is undergoing his own season-ending, non-throwing shoulder injury, expects to be ready for 2016 training camp, no matter with whom that might be.

49ers Coach Jim Tomsula 'Excited' About Benched Colin Kaepernick's Future

The Ravens lost quarterback Joe Flacco to a torn ACL during their win over the Rams on Sunday. A Kaepernick signing could lift up the Ravens to start 2016 if Flacco isn't ready, Baltimore Beatdown reports.

"The timetable is anywhere from nine months to a full year to come back from the type of injury that Flacco suffered," according to Baltimore Beatdown (although another Baltimore Beatdown report indicated that coach John Harbaugh believes Flacco will be ready for training camp). "Either he will be ready by Week 1, or Flacco will start the season on the (physically unable to perform) list and we'll see him after the halfway mark.

"If Flacco were to start the season on the PUP list, the team would definitely need someone capable of handling a majority of the season. With few veteran quarterbacks in the league and even fewer young quarterbacks capable of such a feat, the Ravens could be interested in their former foe."

Russell Wilson's Career Trajectory Following Colin Kaepernick's

Kaepernick would have to rework his salary to make such a deal work. But he would have to anywhere he goes if and when the 49ers cut him.

An equally intriguing prospect for the Ravens could be to trade the 30-year-old Flacco and his $18 million salary to the 49ers for Kaepernick.

Baltimore's glory days appear over, and if Harbaugh can get a few pointers from brother Jim on how to approach Kaepernick, the Ravens can spend their money in a lot of other areas to retool their team and get back to prominence faster.

While the Ravens wouldn't figure to part ways with a Super Bowl-winning quarterback (at the expense of Kaepernick), they will get an audition for what life is like without him and find out if they can live without him.
