The Cowboys not only needed a hero, but some way to stop the bleeding; they got their wish in the return of Tony Romo.

Romo, who was a bit rusty at times, was just the medicine the Cowboys needed to end their seven-game losing streak. The Dallas signal caller threw for over 200 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. It's evident the Cowboys are a different team when their leader is out there slinging the football.

"It's a great team win,our guys played really good football and hopefully it's the start of something," Romo said on Fox NFL Sunday.

It also didn't hurt that running back Daren McFadden ran for almost 130 yards in the game too.

The Cowboys, despite their 3-7 record, are still in the playoff hunt with only six weeks left to go, but they would probably have to win out in order to make the postseason.

But as bad as the NFC East is, that's not impossible. The Giants were on a bye Sunday, so there record holds at 5-5, and both the Eagles and Redskins we beaten badly Sunday dropping both their records to 4-6, so the Cowboys are only two games out of first.

The true test for Romo and the Cowboys will be when the Panthers (10-0) with their undefeated record come a calling Thanksgiving Day in Jerry World.

If Romo can help the Cowboys end the Panthers' winning streak, then Cowboy fans may have something to get excited about.

But at least for the day, the bleeding has stopped and the Cowboys have their leader back; only time will tell if it means anything.
