It won't be the perfect homecoming game for Marcus Paige -- who is still recovering from a broken bone in his non-shooting hand -- but it will be the perfect test for No. 1 North Carolina when it visits Northern Iowa on Saturday.
The Tar Heels (3-0) are unblemished this young NCAA season. Impressive victories over Temple (91-67), Fairfield (92-65) and Wofford (78-58) have led authenticity to an experienced side looking for a return to the Final Four.
Kentucky Not The Favorite To Win The Men's Championship
The same cannot be said for Northern Iowa.
Typically a Cinderella looking to dance in March, the Panthers (1-1) failed to respond on Tuesday against Stephen F. Austin for the program's first defeat of the season.

It was always unlikely. Still, it's worth noting, UNC's Marcus Paige will not play at UNI tomorrow, I'm told. Hand just isn't ready.

FWIW, I talked to Ben Jacobson this morning, and he wants Paige to play. Panthers want to face Heels at full strength. #UNIHoops

According to UNC coach Roy Williams Nate Britt doesn't have to sit out next game

Doesn't matter the talent on Ben Jacobson's team he knows how to coach.

The lowest point in North Carolina basketball history: playing AT Northern Iowa.
